Visual artist Ingeborg Annie Lindahl and poet Marte Huke explore how line, language, and traces can open up new reflections on humanity's relationship with nature, time, and presence in the exhibition «Om når blir nå». The exhibition presents new works in an installation combining drawing and text, created specifically for BABEL. Exhibition opening: October 9, 2026, at 18:00.
BABEL presents: «Om når blir nå» (If When Becomes Now), an interdisciplinary exhibition by visual artist Ingeborg Annie Lindahl and poet Marte Huke.
Creating by hand, thinking through the line. The exhibition consists of an installation combining drawing and text, exploring how line, language, and traces can open up reflections on humanity's relationship with nature, time, and presence.
The project is a thematic investigation of signs and drawing, examining the connections between the line, drawing, and language. The works take the line as a point of departure, exploring it as a form of understanding, communication, and memory.
A site-specific approach is central to both artists' practices. The foundation for this project was laid during Lindahl's first guest artist residency at LKV in autumn 2025, where the artists gathered inspiration and carried out research. In developing the exhibition, they have jointly explored human traces and landscapes in the Trøndelag region of Norway. From this starting point, the exhibition addresses themes of ecological responsibility and an awareness of mortality.
The exhibition is supported by Trondheim Kommune.
